Championship!
After a long time, lots of seasons building up the team from the beginning and lots of hard work from so many diferent players and managers. We’ve achieved our biggest goal: Winning the Dutch league title!
Before today (11/02/2017) there were 3 teams still in the race for the title. Orange Dragons, SMS-FCG and us (NextGen). Match round 14: NextGen vs. SMS-FCG. We could only be the new champions if we won our match against SMS-FCG, with a draw Orange Dragons would have been the champions and with a lose SMS-FCG would have been the new Dutch champion. After an really intense game we won. 2-1. And now we can all say we’re the new Dutch champion! And we’re going to compete in the European Champions League next season.
And we still have an important match left. Next friday we’ll play the final of the Continental Cup, another challenge, another match against SMS-FCG.
Many thanks to our players who worked really hard for this being ready all those matches this season. Without you guys it wasn’t possible to achieve this goal!
